What we collect

Newsletter and product-notification forms collect your email address. The contact form collects your name, email address, message and phone number if you choose to provide one.

Business and sample-request forms collect your business name and type, borough or city, estimated weekly drinks, contact name, email, phone number if provided, request choice and message. Please do not put passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information in these forms.

Submissions also include their type, submission time, page and campaign tags, such as utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign, when available. These tags help us understand whether a request came from a sample-package insert or another campaign. The server also handles technical request information, such as an IP address, to limit abuse.

Why we use this information

We use the information you submit to respond to questions, discuss samples, pricing or supply, and keep track of your request. If you sign up for updates, we use your email for the NOMS updates or product notifications you requested.

We use campaign tags to understand which promotions lead to inquiries or signups. Saving a form does not place an order, take payment or automatically send an email. You can ask us to stop sending updates by emailing sales@nomstraws.com.

Storage, security and sharing

Form submissions are stored in a protected PostgreSQL database. Access to our submission inbox and CSV export requires administrator sign-in. We use reasonable safeguards to protect stored information, but no online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

We do not sell your personal information. We use hosting and database service providers to operate the site and store submissions. People helping NOMS handle requests may access the information needed for that work. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect the site against abuse.

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to handle requests, maintain relevant communication records and meet applicable obligations. You can contact us about deletion at any time.

Cookies and campaign tags

The website application uses a cookie only for administrator sign-in sessions. That cookie keeps an administrator signed in to the private inbox. Public signup and inquiry forms do not require an account or an admin-session cookie. We do not add advertising or analytics cookies.

Campaign tags are remembered in your browser’s session storage, not in a tracking cookie, so a tag can accompany a form you submit later in the same browsing session. Browser settings can limit storage; the forms can still be used if campaign storage is unavailable.

Access, correction and deletion

To ask what information we hold about you, correct a submission, request deletion or stop updates, email sales@nomstraws.com. Tell us which email address you used and what you would like us to do. We may need to confirm that a request concerns your information before acting on it.

We handle these requests directly. Information we must retain to meet applicable obligations may not be removed immediately. If you believe information about a child was submitted without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website or our practices change. The “Last updated” date shows the latest revision. Contact sales@nomstraws.com if you have a question about a change.
